You are not supposed to install subframe connectors on convertible mustangs, convertabiles already have subframe connectors on each side riveted under the car. You would need to take off all the rivets on the stock frames so they would come off.Once both of the stock frames come off then you can install and WELD your new frames. Not exactly true. You can cut the portion out where the new subframe connector will go, then weld it on like any other car, then weld it up to the stock part.

"ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE"
If you have a vert you NEED sub frames. These things twist like crazy without them. You don't have to take out all of the rivets.

hiddnos- should i just have them welded to the stock ones? just cutting out that portion sounds like a good idea.

Those things are useless !!!! much like the information you just provided
I have in-floor subframe connectors in my 'vert and it made a WORLD of difference. I also have a 6-point rollbar installed that we added kicker bars going down to the subframe connectors
I have pulled a best 60ft of 1.57 which would have twisted a non subframed 'vert to the point the doors probably wouldn't open anymore
I believe I have some pictures at home, I will find them and post tonight
