fulllineexhaust.com Cant be beat. My opinion Buy the Magna Flow X pipe it is a true x pipe and if your gonna go xpipe dont get any Baffled or chambered muffs they sound horrible, buy a straight through one

If you are planning on long tubes why spend the money on an expensive ass Bassani X now why not just buy the shorty pipe when you get the LT's and save yourself $500 now. But the cat back will be fine with long tubes or shorties

I bought my Bassani catted x-pipe from www.houstonperformance.com. He had the best price at the time.
For your '96 Cobra they list the x-pipe for $459 and the cat back for $565. You'll pay shipping but you won't be paying the $105 in sales tax so you still end up saving quite a bit (~$250).
I am all for supporting your local speed shop but a $250 difference is not something to sneeze at these days. See if Bill will price match or help you out for being a cafords member.

If you are planning on long tubes, then dont get the X pipe. It will not work with long tubes.
As for not getting a baffled type muffler because it sounds "horrible", don't beleive it. I have FMS shorties, catted X-pipe and 2 chamber flows and it sounds nothing short of awsome!

Thanx for all input, i plan on goin down to Apex see if they will price match houston performance. I heard a cobra with bassani exaust setup and it sounded RAW, like a real stang. NOt interested in off road(purplenotch)thanx anywayz. Also in a street race, stock Z28 vs. stock 4v Cobra, is pretty much even or will it be driver skill to win?

Guys, I do offer CAFords members a 10% discount on Bassani products. As for stainless vs. aluminized, here in California, stainless isn't mandatory. (Michigan, on the other hand....) I'm selling many more aluminized Bassani x-pipes and cat-backs now that they're available. As for price matching, email me bill@apexmotorsports.com with any questions or requests. Thanks!

Go with Bill. He hooked me up with my Bassani X and catback. Everything was very orderly and shipment is fast, also can't argue with the 10% discount
