I was wondering what ur guys thoughts would be on me converting my 3.8L v6 to a 302 or 351. I would rather do the 351, and i know this would be very involved, including a completly new trans. I want to know if this is just a stupid idea or what?...also sugestions on an alternative would be very helpful too me! [ September 08, 2003, 12:52 AM: Message edited by: 3xKrazy ]

Sold my Nice 94 V6 for $4000
Got a nice 95 GT Vert for $5200 (tax included)
Difference $1200...
About the price of the swap! Not including much of the work involved. Sell the v6 soon since a lot of people would still buy it.

This an early/mid 80s 3.8l? or a 94/95? 96-98? or 99+?
It can be done, and you don't need a new tranny (possibly a new bellhousing, depending on what you have and what combo you go with) but yea, unless you have a lot of $$ sunk into your 6 already, just sell it and buy a GT or Cobra.
BTW I have a 93 5.0 in my 95 V6 car.

Droptop I got me some outta-state (WA) license plates. One of the benefits I'll be losing for getting out of the military.

Perhaps. My mom still lives in WA so Im trying to talk her into letting me register my 95 in her name. She's paranoid of the 'financial responsibility' involved with having my car in her name.
