okay, i fixed the idle problem but now theres a more serious problem. i was driving back from washing her and the engine started running hot. i got it home and was backing into my garage when i saw coolant all over the ground. i checked the hoses and they are all fine. the coolant seems to have come from the mid to rear of the engine. does that mean head gasket? it's under warranty(thank god!) so i can take it back on mon. i just want to know what i'm dealing with. at least i got to drive it for a couple of hours!

this shop called boradori put it together but a shop called norcal engines built it. it's really pissing me off because i got to drive it last night and this morning and it is a beast! i'm thinking it was a head gasket that blew, but i might be wrong. (i hope i'm wrong!) what do you think?

If the head gasket blew you should have seen smoke while you were driving it, I think it's something else personally I hope it is for you too

check the oil. If it was a head gasket your car should be putting out white smoke. Also if it was a head gasket you wouldn't see a pile of fluids on the floor. What water pump are you running? I know that the edelbrocks sometimes spring a leak from the back cover of the water pump

its just a stock replacement water pump, but the coolant was sprayed farther back than the water pump. the oil looks fine. right after i turned it off, i went to uncap the radiator and there wasn't any pressure when i turned the cap. it was like the engine wasn't hot. the coolant splattered all over the crossmember and the suspension, but just onthe passenger side. does that help?

is there anywhere on the back of the engine that could dump out coolant at a huge rate, like more than possible out of the heater core hoses?

If your intake is not seated correctly that would do it!! Check behind you lower intake to see if it is comming from there...

from what i can tell, it seems like the coolant might be coming from somewhere lower. i felt around the lower intake and couldn't find any coolant.

well, it's still under waranty so i shouldn't have a problem getting them to fix it. do you think these symptoms sound like a freeze plug kyle?

If it is leaking that much and all the hoses are intact it is entirely possible i have seen it before think whats around there that can leak that much
