anyone done it? how hard is it? any drawbacks from this. i am getting tired of the sound of the tire rubbing on it when i turn, and thought if i removed it it would eliminate it. thanks

easy a couple of screws and plastic plugs i took the inner fenderwells out on ma vert and noticed no real difference except that the car is louder on the inside by a bit (eg road noise)

N20, don't take them out. Take both front wheels off and look where you are having the rubbing proglem. Then cut out a square out of that exact area.
Make sure you cut the hole about 2 inches away from wherever you are have evidence of rubbing. [ September 04, 2003, 02:30 PM: Message edited by: hidnn.o.s. ]

Tons of clearance take em out there wont be anything for them to rub on except sheetmetal and the strut

They're there for a reason. You might run into some trouble later with little rocks getting flung everywhere, engine bay included.

I removed myne because I rolled my front fenders and wasn't ever able to re-use them. I have't had any problems with the removal of myne and its been almost 7 months.

hey rob my wheel wells are out and its fine just a few extra rocks get thrown here or there but you do gain clearance my 19's fit and its got a two inch drop. plus my msd is mounted inside and away from the motor in the wheel well. good luck. shaun

Rocks can easily be flung and create upward dings in your fenders. Air filter will be NASTY much quicker. Think of that when it rains.... Noise level will go UP a little. Rocks may be flung into brake lines, etc.....

As much as it rains here and this is going to be your daily driver I wouldn't do it Rob. Go with less tire width up front if the rubbing bugs you

hey 91 sleeper. where did you get the fenders rolled at. i got a two inch drop on my stang with 245/50/16's and for some reason my right side fender still rubs when i hit a bump. no inner fenders.

i mean i have no inner fenders. i'm not sure what is still rubbing. i put new kyb shocks and struts. and for whatever reason i'm still rubbing on the right side front fender. any help would be appreciated.

slight fender bender. but i didn't think it was a problem. had the work done in a shop in sac.
