Any one knows how much $$ I’m looking at to get my idle speed adjusted? I’m reading Haynes repair manual and it reads:
ADJUSTMENT (3.8L/4.6L) The idle speed on the 3.8 and 4.6 is not adjustable like the 5.0. This procedure requires the a special SCAN tool to extract working parameters (Voltage Signals) from the EEC-V system while it’s running. Have the procedure performed by a dealer Service dept. ($$$$$$$$$) or other qualified repair shop (more $$$$$$)..
I knew I should of got the 94-95 5.0 model….

$300 and some change for a chip and $100 an hour for Dyno time. 1 or 2 hours.
Why do you want to adjust your idle?
