i drove from sac to frisco and back in a day thats probably a little over 200 mi. and i burned about 1 1/2 courts of oil is that normal for a new engine cause the rings are seating and bearings??

Burning a little oil is normal, but i'd say 1.5 qts in 200 miles is a bit much. I'd look into it.

Ive heard that some strokers tend to burn oil because the bottom ring land tends to intersect with the wrist pin, creating a gap where oil can get through. But that does sound excessive.

Does it puff smoke on acceleration or deceleration? Any oil in the intake?

I would also contact CHP. Their kits are supposed to have the piston pin offset at about .060 in the pin tower. So you shouldn't be burning oil BECAUSE of that. But since you are burning oil like a madman, I would contact CHP and ask them if something could have gone screwy. Make sure you let them know exactly how you put your motor together too.

I heard that if the oil-controll ring on the pistons (bottom ring) is overlapped instead of butted then there would be massive oil consumption.

Did the block have a hone for moly rings???? did you install the dots on the rings the correct direction. How many miles are on the motor right now. Did you check piston ring gap??? it sounds like the rings are installed incorrectly or didnt seat
