The deck is brand new (less than a year and a half) and the outs have never been used until now. (some require a separate fuse)<br /> also, I would check all contacts, a little bit of crap can lead to sky-high resistance!<br /> One thing that I have seen is an amp say that its stable at 2ohms(or 1 for that matter), but it shits the pot when you configure it that way! <br /> Are the speakers ok too? maybe they are blown? I doubt that, since the problem is common to both. That is the reason they come with those lil plastic or rubber covers.
