i have a 1995 stang 5.0 five-speed manual. All i have is two chamber flows with and offroad H-pipe. The thing is that when i punch the throttle my car hella hesittates and it feels hella slow. My rpm's raise up hella slow and it looks like the needle holds back and hesitates. The car feels hella slow. I tryed cleaning the throttle body a little not to much, but the motor still lags and hesitates. It doesn't run like my friends 5.0 91 GT who is stock. i have exhaust and he is stock and he hella pulls on me. any help

dude I'd hella like to help but im not the superwhiz on this hella crazy stuff. [Wink]

I'd say check your fuel pressure, make sure it's around/above 40 psi. Change your fuel filter. Just give your car a basic tune-up. Change your air filter, spark plug wires, spark plugs, dist cap, etc. Make sure it isn't something easy before you freak out.

And adding exhaust alone isn't gonna make your car super hella faster than a stock car... I'd say the stock car could easily win repeatedly if the driver can drive better or if the stock car gets better traction (weight, tires, etc).

yeah i just gave my car a tune up in march. plugs, rotor, cap, filters, everything, but the wires, they still look good. someone told me it could be injectors or like you said my fuel pressure. but heck dude my friends 91 gt stick shift shouldn't be pulling on me by about 2 cars when we go on a good roll

2 cars? that's it? I was picturing your car all but stalling, the tach taking about 8 seconds going from 1000 rpms to 2000 rpms... now it just sounds like you have a heavy slow car.

I'd say still check your fuel pressure to make sure your pump isn't going out, and maybe run some fuel system cleaner next time you fill up. Oh, and DONT put in 91 octane gas thinking it will make your car faster (it won't - actually it will make YOUR car slower), and don't buy the cheap ghetto gas either, like Beacon or Arco. That stuff hurts.

Make sure all your cylinders are firing as well... it's possible you could have a spark plug boot not seated very well/if at all, and are running on 7 cylinders intermittantly? It's possible....

Oh and it's possible also that your exhaust is 'too much'. If it reduces all the restriction that could hurt your performance as well.

Hope this helps
