The combination of the crank and cam gives you the firing order. Tell us year, make, model information and we'll try to tell you the firing order. If it's a Mustang 5.0 then your firing order is 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8. -------------------- Currently Mustang-less... When looking at the engine from the front (standing at the radiator) the cylinders will be numbered like this: 4 8 3 7 2 6 1 5 The distributor cap will be marked with number 1 on the top.
