have anyone ever swiched from short tube headers to long tubes,and felt any difference?anyone ever ran long tube headers with stock e7 heads and felt any power gain?i have every bolt-on on my moter except heades and cam and was wondering if i swich from my short tube equal lenths to long tubes,will i feel a defference?and can you pass smog with long tubes and h-pipe with cats?

As far as I know you can't pass smog with LT's. Although I have heard a rumor that the new BBK LT's are CARB approved. You may want to check into that.

As far as seeing gains goes, when I made the switch from shoties I could feel a difference right away. Gained just over 1.5 MPH, but I also ditched the high flow cats for an o/r pipe at the same time.

I gained almost precisely 1 mph and 0.1 in ET swapping the stock shorties for MAC 1 5/8 longtubes. I already had an off-road H.

I swapped from JBA shorties and a 2 1/2" off road H-pipe to Hooker longtubes with a custom made 3" off-road X-pipe (using a Dr. Gas center section) and gained exactly NOTHING

i was watching hp tv, and they had a stock 96gt, they put bbk lt headers, and a high flow h pipe, it gained over 20hp at the wheels.

i went from bbk shorties and x pipe to bbk lt's and h-pipe, didnt notice any difference, except it was quiter at idle and sounded sick as fuck at high rpm's
