I just did an Aod to T-5 swap and when i go to start the car i push in the clutch than i go to turn the key and it starts when it gets to the on postion. than when the car is on if i push in the clutch it engages the starter again! wtf

u might wanna change the starter solenoid

Did you wire up a the "neutral safety switch" correctly?

Are you sure what your hearing is the starter engaging?

yea cuase one time i started it and than i moved the little thing by the clutch pedal down more and it didnt do it any more but than i i try to start the car again it doesnt even engage the start. Is there a way to wire the switch wrong? could i ahve plugged it in backwards?

I say fuck it. Just rig it so u can start it and it'll be all good. I cut that little blue wire that makes it so that you have to engauge the clutch to start the car. Now I can start the car without pushin in the clutch. This is good too cuz I remember I was driving home one day and my clutch cable snapped. I didn't even trip, when I came to a red light I would just put it in first and start the car. I matched RPMS to shift and jumped on the freeway and drove home the rest of the way in 5th gear. I'm sure you just got something wired wrong
