Ive got a 6 banger 71 stang and there is an enourmous amount of pressure in the radiator. With the cap off and the car warmed up, the coolant shoots out of the radiator. I already changed the head gasket (which was not blown) and the problem persista. Do you think it could be a stuck thermostat. Any sugestions would be appreciated.

did you take the head to a machine shop to make sure its not warped, or cracked, or did you just pull it off and replace the gasket, then just slap it back together???

Check for blockages in the coolant passesges and in the hoses....I had the same problem with my XR4, it turned out to be a clogged heater pipe...

Is there coolant in the oil? also you can check for HC in the cooling system with a block tester kit or if you know someone at a smog shop they could tell with the smog machine prob. Must be careful not to touch the coolant with it. is the cooling fan on correctly and is the radiator not plugged up.
There is no coolant in the oil, and I did not have the head cheacked because the car is not worth the money, its a pos. How could I chack to see if the radiator is clogged, and yes the fan is on correctly
