Should I go with the basic 3g upgrade if so why and how much would everything I need to do the conversion be if all the parts were new?
or...
Should I go with this Powermaster 140 amp alternator from Summit for $186.95 and be done with it?
Let me know what you would do... [ July 19, 2003, 09:25 PM: Message edited by: 91sleeper ]

Autozone 3g, lifetime warranty. If you plan monster stereo stuff, then go bigger.

Take a sniff around eBay. A place called Alterstart located in Texas sells brand new 160amps 3Gs for $130 with lifetime warranties. They even come with all the required wiring. All you would need is the 4 gauge power cable.

This is the palce I have been hearing about over on Stangnet. The thing is I would rather just go down to Kragen and buy a 94gt alternator or order one from Summit and have it come the next day.

Autozone 130A for a '94 GT. Life time warrenty, $115ish out the door. Ontop of that I spent $2 to get into AutoZone and pocket some connectors to get an OEM look, and around $5 for nuts/bolts/solder/ring terminal/heat shrink tubing/electrical tape.
