How are Dr. Gas' exhaust parts compared to such companies as BBK or Bassani? Ive never looked into them too much and some guy is selling an o/r x supposedly new in box for $200. I guess my question is should i get that or a brand new BBK for the same price?

Doesnt the Dr.Gas require welding to be assembled?...Either way I would buy the Dr.Gas...BBK quality control SUCKS!....

The dr. gas does require welding if i remember right but the real key here is that the Bassani and BBK X-pipes do not utilize a true X design. They have a X looking piece thingy that may somewhat work but sounded like shit on my car(o/r with 2 chamber flows) between 2000-3000 RPM.(kinda like a marble in a tin can)A true X is when the two pipes actually siamese together such as Dr.Gas does. This is what you want. For budget purposes, other companies use true X designs also which are probably cheaper. I'm using a MAC X now, and while it's not the best fit and finish available, the sound quality is 100 times better than the Bassani i had (and it was cheap)

I just got the Dr Gas x-pipe delivered last week for the 03 Cobra. I'd say you were getting a pretty good deal considering it cost me $299. Not installed yet, so I can't say how much of a pain it is or how good the fitup is. Should work nice with the Borla Stingers though

Buy the box of pipe for $200 and have it welded, you just saved yourself shipping. Dr. Gas is MUCH better then Mac or BBK, I have had all 3 on stock setups and Dr. Gas is the best, however as you mod the motor more Dr. Gas is even better.
