I've recently scored from a SVO, the front rotors and Brake Calipers.

Does anyone know what I will need for the conversion in my 84?

Which spindles? or is the SN 95 Swap a Better one?

Thanks for any input!

Isn't the SVO rotor a 5-lug? If you want to stay 4-lug to retain your wheels then you'll need to just get stock 87-93 GT rotors and spindles. The SVO 73mm calipers will bolt right up and work with those. If I remember correctly the SVO rotors are also stepped at the hat to make up for the wider K-member of the SVO. So, your stock spindles won't work for sure (also because your rotors are smaller diameter).

If you are going to go 5-lug then I would recommend the SN95 spindles. The brakes are better anyway. I would NOT recommend the SVO master cylinder. It is way too big. It is designed to be used with the SVO 4 wheel disc set up (which even has a different brake pedal for more leverage!). Use an SN95 master cylinder or 94/95 Cobra master cylinder. The SN95 components will certainly be a big upgrade from your 84 brakes though you will have to go to a 5-lug wheel. Those spindles will also leave you set up for the Cobra brakes if you want to upgrade further in the future.

For more information check out my website by clicking on my signature. At the bottom of the main page is a link for the 5-lug SN95 front brake swap article I wrote.

Sean.
