I just recently bought an 89 Mustang GT, and it has no mufflers. I need to put them on ASAP, Im kinda worried about getting pulled over because of the noise. The only mufflers I really know about are Flowmasters...is there a better way to go that may be less expensive then the flowmasters???
I'm not doing pipes out the back, just because Im changing my bumper as soon as I have the cash (if you wanna know why....look at my avatar )
It also has a H-pipe w/ cats and I plan on just doing a turn down system....

Bang for the buck mufflers are probably Summit Racing turbo mufflers. They're dirt cheap, $15 or so each, and are very quiet.

just get a set of 2 chamber flows dumped, they will be relatively cheap and you really won't see a huge gain from other mufflers if any at all. Get the mufflers that make the sound you like and you'll be happy

I think thats what I'm gonna end up getting...I'm going to the place tomorrow to get an estimate!
And 5ptSlow...I would rather know that they were new and nothing is wrong with them, then have the old ones fuck up afterwards.
