from this graph? I guess the easy answer is hit the limiter each time. ?
thanks in advance.
3.73 gears and a tremec 3550.
Also, if you could try and extrapolate what the shift point would be if you think it's beyond the limiter, gracias.

You should have pulled the pill for a run, but it seems it was dropping off.

I'd rather tag the MSD @ 6200 and pull spark then the factory one @ 6250 and have fuel pulled.

Looks like you gotta take it pretty high just to hit your torque curve...

It's all about your recovery AFTER your shift. You want it to be at the peak or just prior to the torque peak.

there are a few other programs like this around the 'net.

Don't even need to do the math to know you gotta shift at the limitter. NA, its probably better to pull the pill and rev the mofo out to 6500.

That curve looks almost identical to mine. Except your numbers are a little higher I've ran mine thru a few shift point calculaters and tried different shift points at the track. Shifting at 6k works best for me.

Correct. You should be shifting higher than that so it appears a chip, intercepter, extender, ect. is in order.

Yeah, it cuts something like 2/3 fuel at 6225 or something like that ( I believe 6250 is a commonly used rounded number, gotta check the EEC tables to be sure.) In the big picture, I doubt it'll be worth any MPH, so just live with it until you get a chip. God help us all if you get a EEC tuner, that'll be like letting a 7 year old play with a shot gun

I'm too lazy to look up your particular EEC, but a '93 cobra EEC cuts half of the fuel at 6100 RPM and all of it at 6250.

from that site: it picked ~ 6500 rpm shift points given this table: (thanks Jim and everybody)
I "created" these two datapoints, 270 @ 6450 (probably pessimistic) 300 @ 6300 (definitely pessimistic)
and from the graph: 310 @ 6150 318 @ 5725 310 @ 5250 300 @ 4800 281 @ 4500 260 @ 4000 215 @ 3500 ------------------ picks 6450 shift points. ouch. I think the stock oil pump can hang with that though. [ July 02, 2003, 12:28 AM: Message edited by: shade-tree ]

1st gear Id shift around 5 or so to put you back in the meat of your torque curve, and let it ride until 5700 or so thereafter. You can see your power starts to plateau at about that point and if you take it much higher youll be missing out on all that useable torque you have. Good luck!
