My 255's rubbed on my 9" wide rims untill I rolled all four of the fenders.

255's are too big for ponies. Granted, they will fit, but that does NOT mean that they are the right tires for the wheels.

The BFG 255's are supposed to be used on anything from a 6.5-10in. rim. Arent ponies 7 inches?

It all has to do with contact patch. How much of the actual tire is hitting the pavement, rather than taken up in sidewall buldge. AGAIN, they WILL fit, but you are wasting tire.

But if you are getting a killer deal, get them and burn them off and then get the 245/50/16's later

Yeah I understand all that. So what size tire is going to give you the biggest contact patch with a 7 inch rim?

I "BELIEVE" 225 or 235's for perfection. You don't want much of a sidewall buldge at all. However like GOFAST said, if you are getting a killer deal get the 255's!!!
