Is an adjustable fuel pressure regulator necessary when swapping heads and intake? I plan on getting a custom chip when done. Wouldn't the computer/tuner just widen the injector pulse width? Obviously I'd rather not buy an AFPR then set it to stock settings.

What is the whole combo? Basic heads, intake and mild cam will not need a chip. Timing and FP will be enough to get the A/F and power where it needs to be. Just spend the $100 or so for the straight dyno time w/ wideband O2. If you are going w/ boost or serious cam and compression then chip it.

You'll be fine with a custom chip...
An AFPR will come in handy if you want to do some fine tuning later by yourself, like advancing your timming and running a different octane(race gas)...
You might want to inquire about a "switch chip"...A switch chip will allow you to run different engine set ups with out having to re-tune your car....

Hey FasterDamnit~~~C'mon its a 95 Mustang those computer SUCK!!!....A dyno tune would get rid of the timming retard that the 94-95 computers have...A LOT OF people have FMS extenders to help correct the 94-95 (OBD-II wannabe) computer.....I will be definately getting a dyno tune when I get my HC&I....

Chip is coming for sure, or a Tweecer, or I push my aode off the ass end of a boat and buy a t5. I can't hang with the stock shift schedule anymore. So I'll hold off on the fpr and use the $ for dyno time. Thanks

See? More info that would help that wasn't posted. Yes, the AODE will really benefit from some more aggressive shift settings.
