What is the recommended tire sizes for 17x10.5 wheels? I currently have 245's.. I take it these wont fit? I was told that 275/40/17 is what I would need...

Just picked those up 17x9 up front and 17x10.5 out back on ebay for $500. Think I'm going to stick with 275 for now just because it is a daily driver, maybe when I have more money or do some serious driving I will bump up to 315's. 200-300 a tire is just too pricy for me on tires at the moment.

I think u can buy the Nitto 315 drag radials for around $150. Thats how much the 275's cost so they are probably close to that price. Get the 315's you will enjoy those more

Yeah, for my purposes 440 a tire and 471 a pair is just way overkill. I took a look at some 275's on some dudes 10.5's and they looked ok to me, they are just for gettin me to and from places.
Man 440 a tire.... how long do those last? If I paid $440 for a tire, that thing better be able to cook a good steak and give a mean BJ.
