Ok, so I bought these from mustang5091, they say 6025 on them, but they have a e/o number and only say performer on the side. The 6025 shouldn't have a carb number and should say rpm on the side. With the 6025's u gotta notch the pistons. Anyways i was told by edelbrock that their heads all share the same casting (6025) thats why it says that. So i figured im in the clear and do have 6037's but then 66accobra pm'ed me asking me if i'd notched the pistons. Does this mean i do have to notch the pistons?? Is anyone familar with these heads?

No! My 6037's also say 6025, they all do share the same castings. These heads really love boost, don't even port them.

i would still measure them to make sure its not a 2.02 valve
isnt a 6025 - a 6037 with a bigger intake valve and the 1/2 head bolts, i know it has 1/2 head bolts or studs because i tore it apart and it was on a 351 without bolt bushings, hope this helps, and i will always take them off ur hands

i am wrong, i think u have 6039 a 6039 is a 6037 with a bigger 2.02 valve and the smog ports to make it carb legal, so it has a crab number, measure the valves with somethin, if it is over 2" it is definetley a 6039
and i am still interest, did i forget to say that

Yeah, measure the valves just to be safe, but the 6037's do have a "6025" casting number on the side.......

You don't have to cut the pistons if the intake valve is a 1.9 as long as your lift isn't over about .54. If it is that close or larger on the intake side, put the head on there with no gasket and turn the motor over with a wrench on the crank to make sure there is no bumping... if it seems alright, as in the wrench doesnt lock up, take the rockers off and put the head gasket on it and put it all back together and check it again with the wrench and you should be good to go! Easy way to do it is get a cam with less than .54 lift A F cam and those heads makes well over 300 to the wheels...

yeah, those heads are off my friends 351
i am have already bought his cam and intake, and i was tryin to get the heads and rockers, but oh well
and u say that it would be a weak combo in a 351, but i am trying to build a very reliable combo that i can drive back and forth to calpoly if i want to
and i drove the car with those heads, torque monster

P/V clearance has almost nothing to do with peak lift. The valves are no where near the piston at peak lift. P/V clearance has to do with overlap when the piston is near TDC. You can have a .565 lift lobe with 216 degrees duration (.050)clear all day and a 230 duration with .499 lift that won't come close.
As KC mentioned ALWAYS check no matter what!
