And some people (very rare) had Ford upgrade there 5 speed to 3.08's. Some dealerships use to install what ever gears you wanted though, but this is rare. Another cheesy way to determine gear ratio is to remove the 11mm bolt holding the VSS sensor in place and seeing what color the speedometer gear is.
