Topic: possible detonation?

i just went out with my friend and i was getting on it pretty hard a couple times and now theres a loud popping noise like detonation when i get on it at all, the oil pressure is way low at idle but goes back to regular if i start moving, and the vacuum is lower than usual. Anyone have any suggestions. ![[Confused]](confused.gif) I'm gonna work on it tomorrow.

Try retarding the timming, thats what most people do when they start detonating....
I would suggest taking out the plugs and reading them...Look for white dots or a grey white-ish eletrode for sign of being lean and detonating....
I would probably do a compression test on the motor (for the hell of it) while you have all the plugs out...A compression test will tell you a little about the engines internal condition...
