I sometimes notice that when I press on my clutch, the pedal feels a little rough. It lasts for a while then stops. I am not sure what it could be...maybe the cable? I also noticed that when i listen to it while the car is shut off, it makes a slight "scratch" sound. any help will be greatly appreciated.... [Frown]

Is it more of a 'chrip'? If so, it could be the throw out bearing/ retainer.

Its probably the throw out bearing not being able to slide corretly on the transmission bearing retainer.....A lot of times the shaft will get worn or get sticky spots from oil/dirt...

You can inspect the bearing retainer shaft for worn or sticky spots by pulling the clutch fork cover off and shinning a light in there..(kinda hard to see though).

To check the clutch cable just disconnect it from under the dash and from the clutch fork and slide it in the cable sleeve...Powdered graphite or WD40 will help it slide a little easier..
