who makes the best aftermarket k-member sor street/strip applications?

For street and strip I would go with M&M or Grig's. When going on the street don't look for the lightest but look for the best build and the one that offers the most and best suspention corection in the product.

if it isnt a road race car go with the [worship] d&d or the aje k member. I have used both on the street with no problems. Make sure you use STEEL cc plates with the coil overs the aluminum ones from [BS flag] bbk/saleen Will break and ruin your hood and damage your front end. (as you can tell i had a bit of a problem there)

Be careful with the cheaper K members...They may be lighter but probably not half as strong as the stock k member....

Another vote for MM or Griggs. [patriot]

After market k-members that use triangulation in their costruction are the ones you should consider because short of the Factory piece, they are the strongest. Most aftermerket k-members are not triangulated, but the Griggs and MM pieces are.I think the AJE k-member looks very scary because it just looks structually unsound. The D&D and just about every other aftermarket k member looks flimsy too. An old thread over at the Corral talked about an after market k-member failure. You can also go on cornercarvers.com and get some good info about aftermarket k-members too.On my heavy 01 Cobra Convert, I think I might stick with the stock K-member

AJE and D&D are the most common on drag cars, these are cars that go wheels up every launch and I don't ever hear anybody breaking anything on there k-members so to say these are not structually strong is a joke, I would go with either one of these, they are very light and very strong!

A lot of NMRA racers also use http://www.paracing.net/ford_products1.htm
I have the D&D which header clearance was no better than stock. Still had to do some clearance work with a 351 and long tubes.

www.griggsracing.com its not that expensive for the k-member if you install it yourself.
