You know how they say you're supposed to run the alternator power wire back to the trunk and have it switched as well so the car turns off when running (aka kills alternator power).
Well check it out. I just ran the 2 ga. wire to the starter solenoid, and have the switch in the trunk that shunts power from the + of the battery to the starter.
Alternator is the factory "1 wire" style install of a 3G alternator, I did not run it back to the trunk. I grounded the battery to the quad shock mounting location in the rear, and I bolted the stock battery location ground to the swaybar mouting location with a couple of large washers, engine has it's other normal grounds everywhere (motor mounts, firewall, etc.)
But get this. I checked the battery voltage when 'off', and I get about 13.1 volts. Running the car I see mid 14 volts--- obviously the alternator is working, and when the car is running and I hit the switch to the 'off' position, the car cuts out immediately.
Did I do something wrong? Or is everything ok because if you have the '1 wire' alternator setup the kill switch works?
I didn't touch the alternator wiring at all.

What side of the starter selinoed did you connect the 2g wire too?? I tried doing the same thing but didnt work..
