Need to know because I've got a guy that said he'd beat the average price. Thanks.

intake or head? What are you trying to gain? Also, does this head porter have a flow bench? Be weary of any head porter that doesn't have a flow bench. That's like trusting a carpenter that doesn't have a tape measure.

generally speaking porting an intake is easier than porting heads, when you say "GT-40" I don't know which one you're talking about.

Actually with the GT-40 intake it's very difficult to port, but porting heads is technically a very challenging exercise--- left to an expert unless you're just doing a simple, gentle port&polish that removes little to no material.

Oops, its the GT-40 intake. He's done work on a few pairs of his own heads and intakes so I would guess he knows what he's doing. What should I make sure he does with the intake porting??? Is there anything specific to look out for???

you wont be seeing much gain out of it, i'd guess 5hp. i wouldnt do it unless you have to take the intake off anyway. its a pretty decent intake

Just sell the GT40 intake you have and buy a larger one like the TFS track heat, holley, RPM, ect. It makes more sense to do this than pay someone to port your intake.
