What do you think of JBA shorty Headers for a 02 stage three Roush? Are they easy to install? How much Horsepower and torque do they add?

I don't care what headers you put on your S3, it still won't be as fast as my Roush when I put my new engine in it

JBAs are terrible. I had them on my Saleen for two years. I had to replace them twice and I finally stiwched to longtubes. They crack and cuase bad exhaust leaks. Either ford motorsport headers or longtubes.

Ask questions if you have'em, anyone who thinks they're too cool, know's it all, or doesn't want to look stupid has more problems than you.

The JBA's are a walk in the park to install compared to long tubes and they also make good power. Check out this link, www.corral.net/forums/showthread.php?s=f85d8724ac9995fbc466354833932912&threadid=261465&highlight=jba+kooks Even though the link talks about JBA's on a 99 Cobra, I still think the information is relevent for your car and by the looks of it, if you do go with the JBA's you will be ok, but ultimately, the long tubes make just a bit more power. I went with the Hooker long tubes on my 01 Cobra and all I can say about them for now is that they were a fuckin pain in the ass to install! Bottom line I know from experience. The JBA take 10 hours to install or more. They WILL crack! Not worth your time.

Jeez...I have had four mustangs already and I installed Jba headers on all of them. Never ran into any problems with cracking or otherwise. To be honest..they looked pretty much bullet proof....what kind of problems are you guys experiencing as I am putting headers on my bro's car as a birthday gift in a couple of weeks...

I know JBA are great headers. But is it worth all the labor for 5 hp? I would go with the long tubes all the way. They are the best way to go by far. Probably the Hookers, because they have a connector, then you can disconnect it when you have to change your clutch [ April 21, 2003, 10:16 AM: Message edited by: TRY2PAZ ]
