What do you all think of thier work? Do you see anything wrong w/the combo below? Would I be better of going w/AFR205's and a demon carb.?

are you gonna stay all motor or do you want to add a power adder sometime? if so be sure you plan your compression accordingly.

What is the purpose of the car(drag racing, street/strip, roadracing)? How much REAR WHEEL horsepower are you looking for?

Arron is a good guy to work with. He built the motor for my old Chevy truck, and I didn't have any complaints. There is a girl that runs a 65 Mustang in the 10s at Sears Point with a 408 from Badass.

The guy knows more about building small block fords than any of us so I'd listen to him.
As for the AFR vs Edelbrock victor debate..... here is the local run down from what I've seen. Someone correct me if I'm wrong
Pretty much all the all motor 10 second local small block fords run the edelbrock victor series heads
Pretty much all the local internet guys that talk about a motor they're building ten (10) years from now plan to run AFR205's

Tinner,
If you are only are looking for a 425-450rwhp street/strip combo there is absolutely no reason for a solid roller cam. I'd go with a hydraulic roller.

Have Bayshore Racing Engines build you a motor. Give them a call and a projected budget amount and they will build you something wicked!!! I am wiling to bet that they are superior dollar for dollar. Lots of local people on this board have gone through Bayshore.

Do you think it is worth the time to buy the parts myself and have a shop put all together?

I wouldnt buy any parts until you know EXACTLY what you want your motor to do, and you have an idea of how much money you are willing to spend. Call Bayshore!!!
