My girlfriend has a 65 mustang with a 289 and over 250k on the ticker. It's all original and I want the motor rebuilt by someone who knows what they are doing? Is it maybe cheap to just buy a 302 and put it in there? What should I do?

Jon knows how to fix cars? I never knew.... lol I just never thought about asking him about a rebuild. He is so overbooked anyways, I tried to get a hold of him but he is not taking calls until the mid-june when he might have a few minutes schedualling some more sidejobs.

i would go with the 302 but 289s 302s same thing really but you cant just throw in the 302 from the 5.0s i think theyre balanced different or something but the older 302s you could
but if ur girl wants to run i know guy who has a 400.6hp balanced and blueprinted 302 that looks stock for sale that will bolt right in but he wants 2,500 its cheap but not cheap ya know
