I had a steeda tri-ax w/T5, and a Pro 5.0 w/tremec 3550
AFAIK, no big difference
The steeda has 2 adjustment places, which is nice. I always ended up leaving it in the shortest throw one though.
I really liked how the tri-ax/T5 combo shifted vs the pro5.0/tremec 3550, but that has more to do with the trannies themselves than the shifter.

I HAVE NO EXPERIANCE WITH THE PRO 5.0, I CURRENTLY HAVE THE STEEDA TRI AX IN MY 02. AND ITS GREAT I COULDNT IMAGINE THE PRO 5.0 TO BE BETTER. I WOULD HIGHLY RECCOMEND THE STEEDA!

I've got the Pro 5.0 in my Cobra, and love it. I've never driven a car w/ a tri-ax in it though, so my opinion is biased.

The Tri-Ax is a great shifter, but the Pro-5.0 Is better..I've installed a lot of shifters, I've always liked the Pro-5.0...The Tri-Ax always seemed to have a little longer throw...You will be pleased with either shifters...

Impossible? Although I like the shifter, I must say that I have missed 3rd plenty of times at the track.

Although I have an auto I have driven many mustangs and felt the clutch, tranny, shifter differnces and I have to say PRO 5.0 is the only way to go in my book, with a SPEC stage 2 or 3 clutch.

Im not sure that matters though, its not like your hitting it with a sledge hammer. I still say get the tri ax.

Two trannys later my buddys 98 cobra had a groove in the stop ring on his pro 5.0. It was crazy It's amazing how hard someone can really BANG gears.

What? How does that work? The shifter runs into the stop bolts, not the ring. I think your friend is confused.
