Box stock AFR165's? If so, they should come with 3/8th rocker studs. So, you'll have to get RR's for 3/8th inch studs. Ratio depends on cam. You'll also need hardend pushrods. Stock length (6.250) should work. Just check valvetrain geomtry. (see www.compcams.com for instructions) Use ARP head bolts/studs & torque them in 3 steps in the proper sequence to 75/70lbs. 75 on the top & 70 on the bottom. Use ARP moly lube on the bottom of the top bolts/studs & RTV sealant on the lower bolts/studs. Use new head gasket alignment dowls. ~$1.50 at most machine shops or you can get them from a Ford dealer.

Retard the E303 a few degrees (4-6max) & use 1.7 rockers.

I heard you have to notch your pistons when you run AFR's.

Is he getting them new or used? If new where did he get them, or did the company say they would get it to you this week??? Because I ordered a set a month ago, and have yet to get them. Also I would take 93Pony's advice. And if possible get a better cam.

So, $5 for a one month sub or $15 for a year is too much for you? That site costs over 5 grand a year to run, and it sure is hell isn't turning a profit. Spend the $5 and you can save ALL the articles in a month...

Be careful using a bigger cam then the E. my roomate has the F cam and 165's and he had to notch the pistons. Even the E with 1.7 might be to much. He is using 1.6's and there was a lot of piston to valve interference
