Make sure everything is diconnected from the heads, and just unbolt them.. Remove them. Before oyu lift the heads off completly lable the pushrods. I think TheBrain is the guy to talk to about head gaskets on these 3.8's. Two things you may already know: Ford revised the head gasket for these cars, pick up a set.
