When does it kick in? It is not like a Kenne bell right, which goes all through the rpm's. Is there a certain time like when you punch it of course but if you are just cruising at say 2500 rpms is it on? I do not know to much about superchargers, any input would be great.

Short answer: Just downshift and it'll kick in

The second you floor it you have boost. How much boost you have depends on where in the RPM band you are.

well the blower dont make boost untill you go WOT
you can cruz your car at 5000 and their will be no boost if you stay constant but as soon as you floor it you will see it boost
I normally would feel mine really kick in at around 3000 and it would boost all the way to 6500

Centrifugals push CFM exponentially. Typically on a 1/2 to 1/8th ratio. That is, if at 6Krpm you're getting 8psi, at 3Krpm you'll get 1psi, etc.
..typically. Some motors/blower combos make more boost sooner & some later.

Its not like a turbo where it has to spool up from the exhaust. There is boost right off the line, but like stated earlier, it varies depending on what speed the motor is turning.

Yeah....you won't get full boost at any speed/gear when you punch it like a turbo. You'll have to downshift.

I don't hit full boost (10lbs) in mine til' right before I shift, about 5700rpm or so. I would say about 5psi at 3500. [ March 27, 2003, 10:07 AM: Message edited by: CustomFastbackCA ]

I don't think any form of boost is as immediate as N20

It matters what model you are running. Usually around 2,500 it kicks in. Full boost is aorund 4,000 rpms in my okd car. I had an S-trim
