They help out a lot! Drops several tenths in the 1/4 and really shines in the 60 ft. Buddy has it on his 383 LT1 maro and it really helped him out a lot!

its a L98 tpi 91 mofo, stop smokin crack and u could remember that
but then again, he has 440 rwtq on a 100shot, and he launchs with nitrous
he has launched atmost five times and he is on his third rear end, the last one he broke the posi and gears i think, and they werent stock, but then again he launches with nitrous and a 383
that should tell u how sticky those tires are, and all this was on the street, not a track [ March 18, 2003, 11:38 PM: Message edited by: 66 AC COBRA ]

They're probably the best true-radial type drag racing tire, however they're very dangerous in the rain and don't last very long. Consider the BFG's somewhere between ET streets and Nitto's. For the same price, a set of true slicks can't be beat

Guys...
I'm gonna use my 275/50-15 drag radials on the 22nd for the first time. Should you get them wet in the water box before heating them up???
Thanks,
Tony

Dont drive through the water box, back into it!..Roll your tires in the water, get about 1/2 the tire wet, and drive out, then do your burn out...My old drag radials loved LONG burn outs, always seem to hook better with a bigger burn out...
My old drag radials (245/50-16) liked about 18psi too, thought it might help you out..

Maybe a dumb question, but I've never ran on any kind of slick or drag radial. If you've got a T5, how do you do a burnout without going all over the place. Do you dump the clutch and then get that left foot on the brake before you get all sideways or what?

You got it. A quick foot shuffle is all you need to keep from swingin' that bad boy all over. A line lock is most preferred though

you could do it that way. or use you right foot turn it side ways with you heel on the brake toe on the gas dump the clutch and then put your left foot on the brake as you slide your heel off. more complicated but keeps you from pitchin sideways.

i think it was hotrod that just did a comparison between the the chevy 12 bolt, 8.8 and 9", all axles were built with the same componets, it went, 8.8 then 12bolt then 9 in
and yes 10 bolts are shitty, but didnt some mustangs used to come with 7.5's
if my firend had any three of the axles above the car would be fine on slicks
