Which engine is stronger for handling HP? I have heard of the 5.0 handling substantial amounts of HP. And why would people want to convert their 4.6 into a 5.0? I have heard that it is a lot cheaper to build a 5.0. Only thing is you have to get stronger pushrods, which is the only weak part of a stock 5.0. well as for a stcok block the 5.0 isnt grteat. there are many 5.0 aftermarket block which are far superior to the 4.6 tho. the 5.0 shit is cheaper.

Pushrod(5.0) motors are cheaper to build and usually stronger if you get an aftermarket one. Really want some power get a 351w based stroker motor!

pushrods are a weakpoint on a 5.0? who told you that?
only car I ever hear tweaking pushrods is the LS1, and they were designed that way(to prevent damage to more critical components).
the stock rods seem to give out right around when the block does so I figure the block in a 5.0 is probably the main limitation, it splits somewhere around 500-600 net HP. The cute thing is you never know when, but if you keep the RPM down, you might last longer than you think.
