Is there anyone in the Antioch area that can help with a Crane Hi6 ignition install? It's comes with the plug and play harness and coil.
How much will you charge me too?
Thanks,
Tony

This is a very easy install on your year if you have the directions and if you dont just download them off the internet. Like I said, very, very easy. As long as you have the plug harness adapter as you said you do this should only take 20 or so minutes. If you need a walk through let us know but by god, with the mods you got, just slap that bitch in yourself!! Good luck

Do you know if you need to splice any wires or does the harness take care of all the connections?

I believe the only wires that you will need to run is a positive off the battery and then a ground. The harness does the rest.

Cool...
I'll try it myself, thanks for your help.
Oh yeah, I'm getting my gears done as we speak and the place was gonna me 240.00 more to install the ignition.

1FastLX is right--it's really not that hard. $240 does seem kinda high, but it really depends where you mount it. We like to mount the HI-6 behind the inner fender liner, so it's a bit more work. Keeping the wiring nice and neat and covering with wire loom does require a bit more labor.

I got ripped...
I had dropped my car off to get the 4:10s and ignition put in but then thanks to you guys had changed my mind on having them do the ignition install seeing that I could probably do it myself. The shop was gonna do the gears first and then the ignition.
To make a long story short, I forgot to leave my wheel lock key in the car so they installed the ignition before I had a chance to tell them to hold off and I still have my old 3:73s in the rear end and the 4:10 are still sitting in my trunk until I have another chance to get them installed...(When my wife's not looking) ;-)
