I'm planning on swapping my automatic tranny on my 90 GT to a manual tranny. How hard is the swap? Can someone give me a parts list for the swap? Also will the computer need to be changed? Thanks in advanced..Andy

You dont need that harness he's talking about. If you do want it though, ive got one ill sell you. Ive also got a clutch cable and quadrant that youll also need. This is an easy swap bro. No problem, just do a little reading. Its all pretty straight forward though.

With that said... after doing the swap myself, I wish I would have simply built up my AOD and tossed in a 3500-3700 RPM stall instead.
just curious why you wish you would have kept the auto?

I can tell you the 5 reasons I wish I had kept the automatic in my '89 3 blown up T-5s, 1 blown up T-5z, 1 broken TKO (broke the mounting ears off when my driveshaft broke on the 3-4 shift and I still trapped 105 mph )
But at this point, I am going to continue to use a manual transmission because it is just more fun

Two stock AOD's later I am finally going to put in a Tremec 3550.

Did you used to have a red GT? I think I've seen you around my area before.
