Well after replacing the mass air meter and the idle air bypass and putting the spacer to adjust idle, the surge is dead. But still getting the check engine light after driving a little. Also the car is bogging down at times then it goes away and drives fine. Car hasnt had a tune up for a while so im gonna try that.. has anyone heard of a check engine light coming on whe a tune up is needed??
thanks

It's possible. The codes will tell you what you need to do. How much was the IAB? I think I need to replace mine after 140k.

i had a weird check engine light comming on and off for a long time, didnt get any codes either. It ended up being the white sensor on the back of the egr, cant remember the name at the moment. Id read codes and go from there.

That would be the EVP (EGR Position) sensor
