Got a surging and dying problem at idle. Doesnt happen all the time but recently got worst. I unplugged the mass air meter and it seem to run fine but after a bout 2 days its doing the same thing even with the mass air meter unplugged. My o2's are pretty new so could this have somethin to do with the sensors that are attached to the throttle body. I have extras of all the sensor so im guessin i should just replace them and clean em out. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and what they did to fix it.
thanks

i dont know what u have, so maybe trade a friend ur maf for a day and see if it fixes the problem, i wouldnt think it was the maf but u never know, maybe also check ur IAC valve, maybe it is plugged or just rusted, just a thought, mine went out and caused a funny idle

Yea ive read that thread and that guy seems to have somethin seriously wrong and i hope its not the same thing happening to mine. Car ran fine before and now if i let it just sit there and idle while cold it will be fine at first then as it warms up starts to surge a little then alot and finally it will just die.

Well I still think you should do a search on stangnet for surging. They have like 5 pages of threads from peoples cars surging. You will find the answers there you will just have to read a little bit and spend some time on it.

I, along with a lot of other people, have the same problem.

What pisses me off most about it, is that it doesn't happen regularly. It likes to pop back up every 2 or so weeks. Or if I take a reeaaallly long drive.
