Are you supercharged?...if not, no need for an aftermarket MAF. If you are, I'd stick w/ Ford electronics before thinking of anything else (ie Lightening MAF) or Pro-M. C&L do not have that good of a reputation.

I agree with VortechSaleen: I have a 80mm C&L and I'm having problems with it. I'm looking for a Pro-M. Don't get the C&L!

LMAF...
Most n/a mod guys claim it's worthless. It's not worthless on my car .
Whenever I get a dyno tune I'll prove it.

I'm a fan of BBk Throttle bodies although many on this site will say that BBK products are absolute crap. For your MAF, i think it's always a good idea to match up a good TB and MAF, completes your intake and you should feel lots of throttle response. I don't know this year too well but I would tell you to go with the combo of both.

i have an 80mm c&l MAF and a 70mm BBK throttle body and like both parts. the hp gain from the c&l was actually noticiable more than i thought it would be, however the hp from the BBK wasn't much at all. however both did significantly smooth out my idle...

C&L meters seem to work OK on stock or very mildly-modified 4.6s. They work poorly on 5.0s. That said, however, it's very difficult to dyno-tune a Mustang with a C&L, because the electronics are calibrated for the stock MAF housing, and I always tell the customer to use a Pro-M instead. We used to use FMS 70mm throttle bodies for the SOHC, but they recently started drilling a small hole in the throttle butterfly, causing a 1,400rpm idle on every car we've tested. We've since switch to the BBK 70mm, but they, too, have problems. We have to drill out the hole for the throttle cable end, as it's too small from BBK. We also have to pry the cable retention plate apart a bit, since it's too tight to even get the cable in! Ugh. We deal with this sort of thing every day, and let me tell you, it gets old! I agree that on a basically stock car, the throttle body won't do a whole lot. But it won't hurt, either, and every little bit counts!
