Hopefully you guys can help me out. I finally bought a vortec s-trim but i need some help. I'm doing the install myself but i need to know what size injectors, fuel pump and if there is anything else i will need to upgrade. I'm gonna just try to run the car in safe conditions with the mods i already have. Dont have enough money to build the engine up, just enough to do some upgrades and a custom dyno tune

As far as I am aware the kits come with fuel pumps, but not injectors and stuff. Then it would need to come with a mass air as well and people like all different sizes of those.

You might need an inline pump also.

Does he really need 42# injectors??

I was allways told to go with bigger injectors "now" so you don't need to upgrade in the future...but I think my big injectors have come with tuning, idling and sometimes other problems. Would he be better running, say 36#'s for now, until heads etc... get changed?

I'm not very knowlegable on this stuff, so please correct me if I'm off track here, thanx.

you dont need 42lb injectors... all you need is 30lb injectors and a 76 mm mass air, and a 190 lph fp

yea you guys are right he dont need 42#injectors but the cost of the parts is almost the same
why take a chance and over work the 30# when you can get 42# injectors, and the car will run alot better up top, it will make better power
