Author Topic: "H" pipe question f8tl00GT New Member Member # 2413 posted                                 i was thinking about putting a off-road "H" pipe on my car...with straight pipe all the way out the back... just getting suggestions on what i should do...if my idea is a good one or a bad one? Mustangs are designed for backpressure. taking out the mufflers period is not a good idea. Some on this site will tell you you lose power if you use dumps but it can't possibly be much if any to worry about. I went with the dumps and that made the car sound that much better. All I have is the off road pipe and two chamber flows dumped and it is plenty loud. Definately go with the O/R H and don't go with the straight pipe idea.
