How much rearwheel hp and torque will an off road h-pipe add to a basically stock car with a couple of bolt ons? ALso will it be much louder than the factory h-pipe? and does anyone know a shop in or close to san leandro that can install it or anyone on the site that may be able to do it?

Is this for your '85 SVO?
Regardless, pretty much all fox bodies are high milage cars now with cats that are clogged to one degree or another. 1-10 HP is roughly a typical gain.

I can set off car alarms when i drive by which i think is pretty cool for a pretty much stock 4cyl

Are those flowmasters 2 chambers or 3 chambers? I think 2 chamber flowmasters and off road exhaust are just too loud for a daily driver.

I gained .3 tenths in the quarter mile with just an off road H-pipe... Sorry I forget the mph!!...It was probably around 2mph gain...
I think with the 40 series Flows and an off road H, it might be a little on the loud side, but I think it will sound great!...
If I could afford another Mustang, one of the first things I would put on is an off road pipe..

You should do the job yourself and save the money. It will be tuff to get a shop to do the work that you are not good friends with being that it is illegal.

the exhaust will only be loud if you don't like the sound of muscle. It'll sound great man and it'll add some power for sure. Cats are way to restrictive. I have an o/r x-pipe with 2 chamber flows and i love it. you are gonna need some raps to install the pipe. I couldn't find a shop to do it for a good price so I bought the tools myself and I did it. It wasn't that bad and this was on a 02 GT. Latest technology= more of a pain in the ass.

I have the 40 series flows dumped with an o/r BBK H and it sounds great. Not too loud at all, very loud, but not overwhelming. Whoever's car it is will be pleased.
