I was plannign on getting a mechanical fuel pressure gauge from autometer. I want to mount it on my cowl grill but i have two questions. Will a 6 foot braided steel hose be long enough and do i need to drill a whole in my firewall to run the hose from the gauge to the schrader valve?

just hook it directly to the shrader valve, 15 cents in adapters from home depot will adapt a gage to the valve, u just wont be able to monitor the pressure from inside th car, unless u to monitor from inside of car, go directly to valve, easiest way
