it's all gone........
Just got a carbonfiber driveshaft intalled and the vibration is completely gone, no more mirror shaking above 80!
Heh, the only problem now is the engine spins up way too easily, because the driveshaft is so much lighter.......

I bought the driveshaft from someone, so I got a nice deal on it, they usually run about $600......
I didn't weigh them, but I think it's about 1/3rd less weight then the stock one....hehe, it certainly spins up to red line a heck of a lot faster.....
Heh, I don't think I'll ever find out what the top speed of the thing is.......G.....it's convertible limited.......LOL

he black gt, were do u do top speed runs, i have never had my cobra over 165, but it was still pullin strong, i would like to test it some time, it would be fun to go over 180, if the front dint lift off the ground

...I've never seen your Factory Five race car..I dont think its the Type 65 coupe(with a roof)...If you have done 165 in a open roof Cobra replica you got some balls...How well does your windshield work at that speed?..To answer your question on where I did my top speed run..I880, south bound at around 2am...somewhere between Mowry and Stevenson in Fremont....

yes my balls are very large, i have the cobra without the top, not the daytona coupe, the window seems to be fine, unless it bends and i couldnt tell, this was also at 2:30 in the morning but it was on highway 80, around a sweeping turn, and it was bumpy, but i was commited and i held it, would have sucke to hit the ditch

oh ya, about the window, if u have ever seen one in real life, the window is almost straight up and down, it would be like trying to go drag racing in ur mustang with a huge caltrans style snow plow on the front, think what the car would do with a top and a corvette style window, 200+ would be possible

200mph would not be possible with just a window change, sorry... It takes a little more than that..You car, sorry to say, is not very aerodynamic(maybe in the 60's)...What makes you think that your Cobra kit can do 200mph?..Dont you have 3.55's with a Tremec?...Your engine would have to rev to 9,000rpm or something to hit 200mph with 3.55's.... it would only have to rev out to 6300 in fifth gear, i know the car would never hit 200+, i was only fucking around, the front of a cobra kit car or original one promotes lift instead of down force at about 180, the car would emidiatley just flip over, that is why shelby desighned the coupe, so it could run at daytona at higher speeds

I was exergerating when I said 9000rpm....Mathematically it would be possible at around 6,300 rpm with a Tremec, 3.55 and a 26" tall tire...But there are so many variable's like wind resistance and engine power-band...I'm glad you were just kidding...

with the aerodynamicc (based on original cobra), weight, and the addition of a huge front spliter and wing, i would need aproximately 437 rear wheel horsepower to do 200+ (based on an equation from a race car website), this is all if the car didnt flip over or spin out of control violently, so it is possible, just incredibly insane
