Yes all aftermarket pipes will hang lower than the stock pipe. just cut your hangers for you mufflers a little shorter that will bring the back of it up a lot more and cut the exhaust hangers on the pipe off so that it just hangs from the headers and mufflers. That keeps my pipe nice and tight under my car.

I have a BBK x pipe and just compared it to one of my stock h pipes on the ground. Both hangers seem to be the same length and I have never had any problems with the x pipe hanging low at all on my saleen. Good luck.

is there a difference between a auto x pipe and a manual x pipe? i asked bbk people and they said it was the same, but when i installed a h pipe, it would hit the bolt that connects to the shifter thing, and i couldn't get the car out of park.

well on my 02 GT the fit was terrible, i have a huge leak on the left manifold and it hangs hella far down, i was guessing because it has no hangers. looks kinda cool from a side profile though hehe.

Why would you cut off the hangers?

You can cut the hangers off to decrease interior vibrations mostly but also if you cut the hangers off the pipe you can shorten the hangers that hold the mufflers up witch will bring your whole exhaust system up towards the bottom of your car.
I have many BBK products and have never had any problems with any of them. I think you guys are just blaming the product for lack of expiernce in instalation. Not all but some... [ January 29, 2003, 07:53 AM: Message edited by: 91sleeper ]
