I missed second hard tonight. My clutch is hella different than the one in the Supra and I'm not too used to it yet. But, what happens when you miss a gear? It still works fine and everything, I just wanna know if there's anything I should do right now to help the tranny. T5

How exactly did you miss it? Did you grind it and the gear popped out? or did you not even put it in gear at all? or did you grind it but get it to go all the way in gear anyways?
Either way, you're clutch probably isn't affected and there's nothing you can do for your tranny other than stop missing shifts. The biggest risk in missing a gear is usually over-revving your motor.

It doesn't mess up the tranny? My clutch is about done anyways, I should've got a new one while my motor was out. I didn't over Rev. I didn't go past 5 when I raced anyways... I put it in gear, heard it grinding so I pushed clutch pedal in. That's about it.. Any suggestions? Should I change my tranny fluid?

all you do is grind the gear, if you do miss all the time it can strip down the gears but if you only did it once then there's nothing to worry about, if there was anything wrong you would have noticed it trying to shift into that gear.

when your tranny does break, buy a Tremec with a good shifter and you wont miss shifts very often.

actually pat, when you hear that grinding noise, your grinding down the synchros, not the gears themselves.
and if you only did it once, then don't even worry about it. ive missed it in my car quite a few times. its still works. ![[Cool]](cool.gif)
