What's your guys opinion? Is it worth the money and installation hassle? Can you tell the difference between the two? I plan on a 331 here pretty soon. Also I'm trying to choose between MM or Griggs. The car is going to be a weekend warrior so the noise and ride harshness is of no concern. Thanks for the input.

This post would be better suited in the tech section....but, why not long tubes, especially for a weekend "race car"

If I remember correctly, the difference between equal and unequal length is 1hp, but install is a hassle for equal length.
If it is a track only car, go with the long tubes.

Equal lenths have thier ups and downs. They make good power, but nothing major compared to an unequal. You will see better gains with a more serious combo, such as a higher displacement engine, or a forced induction set up. I do agree with the other fellas, if ground clearance is not an issue, I would go with a long tube set up. If this is going to be a smogged vehicle, that obviously won't work for you if you are going for smog legality. The equal lengths are EASY to instal, and work around, where as the un equals are somewhat more difficult, and working around them, such as spark plug changes, can be a bit more challenging. If I had to choose, I would run a long tube set up, but, if you are looking for a nice replacement piece, go with the unequals, simply for ease and convinence. Your power gains betwwen the two will be so minimal, that it really wont matter.

"Long tubes"(more Horse power)...And Maximum Motorsports susp...MM have GREAT customer service..I found that Griggs are more expensive and not so good with customer service...Both susp. packages are great....ask 9cobra8 about Griggs.. [ January 11, 2003, 11:53 PM: Message edited by: Black94 5.0 ]
